We wish to update you on an exciting opportunity for the school.
Since becoming an academy in January 2015 WCLA has been a single academy working on its own. Earlier in the year the governors decided that we should join a more established Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). They have been working hard to find a trust which they felt would be a good match for our school.
I am pleased to say that they have identified a local trust called the Learning For Life Partnership with whom we have begun a process of due diligence with a view to joining. The LFLP is a trust with similar values to ours. It places children, learning and rich experiences at the heart of what it does. The trust already has two schools, Shavington Primary School and Wheelock Primary School. On joining we would, therefore, become the third school to join a family and we hope to build strong relationships between the pupils and staff.
Once in the trust, the school will function as it does now with its existing leadership team. Leaders and staff will be able to work closely with new colleagues in the Learning For Life Partnership in order to continue our journey towards becoming the best school in the area.
There may be questions you have regarding this change. Please contact the School Office with any queries and they will be passed to the Co-Chairs of Governors.
