At the end of the week the children enjoyed decorating Pudsey biscuits and entering our children in need competition to design a Pudsey bear. Outdoor we challenged the children to a fact finding scavenger hunt around the Junior playground. One of the team games this week was bench ball, a new favourite!
Thank you to our buddies who helped over at the Infants, they really do look forward to your visits.
On Friday Miss Worthington held a Zumba class in the hall. The children learned the basics of Zumba to music. They loved every minute and asked Miss Worthington if they can do the class every week!
For a while now the children have asked if they could make slime at Swan Stars. On Wednesday we had a go, unfortunately we were not very successful! Please let us know if anyone has any recipes (without borax) we could try.
We have introduced a pupil information board in the hall for the children to use. On the board we will display the menu, activity planner, Club rules, photo gallery, notices and an activity planner for the children to write their own ideas for Swan Stars on. Each week an idea will be chosen and incorporated in the weekly planning. One of the ideas this week, came from Charlie, he wanted to play shops. We changed the role play area to a shop, the children took turns to be the shop keeper and customers.
The children helped to create the swan stars rules for everyone to follow. When the children follow these rules they are rewarded with a Swan Stars ticket. A name is pulled out of the box and that child receives a small gift.
